The Key To Good Practicing

When it comes to learning your instrument, there’s one key ingredient that will determine your level of success. Without this, you can put lots of time and effort into it, and not see much progress.

That one key ingredient? Consistency.

It takes regular small incremental steps to get to where you want to go. This means that, if you want to get better at playing your instrument, you need to practice a little bit every single day. This works much better than cramming for a couple of hours before your lessons. If fact, cramming doesn’t work with practicing; you need to condition and train your muscles over time to have control and precision. A marathoner would never make it if they started training only a week before the race. No, they start months in advance and gradually increase their ability with consistent practice.

So kids, if you want to play like Justin Bieber, you need to practice even if it’s not always fun. That’s what he did and look where he’s at today.
